Roc Search are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to work on a contract basis for a multi-discipline engineering consultancy. You will work as part of the team responsible for the delivery of the client's portfolio of interesting and challenging projects. The contract has the potential to be a long term opportunity.

We are seeking individuals with a proven track record in project management within a process manufacturing environment, combined with exceptional relationship-building skills and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Understanding the critical importance of compliance, you will leverage a variety of tools and methodologies to approach projects effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Technical Specifications for Heat Exchangers, Pipe works and general package management.
  • Project Installation - Specify, design, purchase and supervise the installation of complete projects including co-ordination between the different engineering disciplines.
  • Improvements - Responsible for recommending improvements or replacements which will improve reliability, safety, or production. You will proactively seek and develop new systems or methods of working to improve the project execution process and implement across project functions.

Skills required:

Knowledge of legislation governing engineering installations in hazardous areas and knowledge of HS&E legislation in the workplace.

Project engineering and management experience including the use of project engineering tools and techniques, good working knowledge of the practical application of tendering procedures.

Experience

  • A relevant qualification / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
  • 4-5 Years Industry experience, working in a process manufacturing or COMAH environment.
  • Knowledge of legislation governing engineering installations in hazardous areas and knowledge of HS&E legislation in the workplace.
  • Engineering and management experience including the use of project engineering tools and techniques, good working knowledge of the practical application of tendering procedures.
